Build your own Tiny Bandon

I had a lot of fun finding out about Bandon while making this kit. Katie of Thisleberry walked around the town with me one windy march morning to give me her view on things... thank you Katie!

So, here is a tiny peek into what you can discover while making these models inspired by shops, pubs and heritage buildings of Bandon.

On the rear and gable of Reen's shop, I drew the old mills which used to be just beyond the footbridgr in Coolfadda. It burned down in 1968.

Onto the walls of the Town hall, I drew a tiny Maid of Erin, as well as Castle Bernard, the former family seat of the Earls of Bandon.

On Hickey's shop, you'll find a tiny fishmarket. Apparently there used to be one regularly just outside the shop.

And, of course, a Bandon kit would not be complete without some sort of reference to the trains:

You'll find this on the model of Dan Moloney's Butcher shop.
